Recently replaced the timing chain and put the metal guides from engnbldr. I've done some other minor jobs in my dad's 89 22RE and on my 95 22RE too. But now I need to replace the piston rings and other stuff, so since I have to tear apart the engine, I decided to rebuild the whole thing. The FSM manual has helped me a lot before for some minor jobs and it is a good reference; however, I was looking for a manual that is focused as much on the 'why' as in the 'how'. These two manuals in Amazon look comprehensible; anyway, I was wondering if there are similar manuals (besides the FSM) that are oriented to 4x4 trucks ??
