Does anyone know the bolt size for the transfer case to transmission mount? I am looking for the actual bolt dimensions not the nut size (14mm). I reinstalled my transfer case and noticed that I am two bolts short. I scoured the garage but they are no where to be found. However, I'm pretty sure they were missing before I removed the transfer.. That, or I'm losing my mind.

Edit - I suppose I should mention what my truck is. Forgot I don't have a signature. It's a 91 Pickup 3vze 5 Speed.

 

your talking about where the transmission mates to the t-case right? the bolt is a 14 mil i believe. if im wrong and your unsure, i would call your local toyota dealer, and get the bolt size from them.

 

why not take one of the bolts that you do have out and match it up? Not sure if they are all the same size and length but I am sure one of those bolts you have in there matches with 1 or both of the missing ones.

or go to the dealer and buy new ones.

I believe the part number for those bolts (9 I believe) is 90119-10019 this is assuming you have a w trans and a 4cyl, I have no clue what you have other then a 91 4x4 ext cab 5sp pickup since in all your posts nothing is mentioned.

 

I would take one off and find a match but I won't have access to the truck until this weekend. I wanted to try and prevent having to make a trip back into town.

I appreciate the help. Pretty stupid of me to not post what my truck is. It's 3vze with a R150F. I'll more than likely just pull one off and go find an equivalent at a hardware store.

 

They are M10 x1.25 not real sure how long but I would guess 40 or 50 mm I think there are some that go into blind holes so you don`t want them to long

The M10x1.25 can be hard to find in some areas most have Din Bolts but not the JIS which is japanese Industrial Standard .

That is a standard size bolt on there trucks so If you buy extras you will use them

 

M10x1.25 40mm is the right size just did this swap a couple of months ago. Try Lowes thats where I got mine I think.

 

You are wrong. They are M10 and ALL bolts are sized by the DIAMETER not the head.

They are relatively cheap at the dealer and they will be the right length. I bet they are as cheap or cheaper than Lowe's and I doubt your local hardware store has the right grade anyway.

Where did this bad habit of calling a bolt by the size of the wrench ever come from.

getting the right size is one thing, but getting the correct tensile strength is another story

personally, I'd just get the bolts from toyota and be done with it... hell, if I'm lazy and don't want to go anywhere, I'd just order online and have them shipped to me door
