Twin stick

So I've been searching and can't seem to find an answer I have a 94 4runner 3.0 5 speed that I believe is a forward shift not sure how to tell tho but I want to know if I'm able to buy the $200 set up from marlin crawler for duel sticks and just instal it just like the directions say or do I need something else?

You need a V6 adapter, a dual case adapter, two gear driven tcases, etc.

Your tcase is chain driven and won't work.

You need to do a lot more homework and research as it is a little more expensive and complicated than $200.

V6 adapter, twin stick and a gear driven tcase.
Read the install instructions on the V6 adapter.
Still going to cost you quite a bit more than $200.

You can't use your chain driven tcase.

Well you can run high 2wd and high 4wd already. Switch to manual hubs and you can run low 2wd.

Dude, come on Brian. He's talking about TWIN STICKS. NOT DUAL CASES.

OP, yes, you can buy the twin stick kit Marlin Crawler sells. Especially since, right in the product description it says:
The Twin Stick is available for all 4- or 5-speed 1979-current 4WD Toyota Pickup Trucks and 4Runners, all 5-speed 3.0L models, 3.4L Tacoma's, T100s, and 4Runners.

doubt that your stock console will have enough room for twin sticks

What's the point of this twin stick stuff? I have an auto so I can't be in the club, but I'm curious none the less.

Twin stick separates the tcase shift rails.
Allows for high neutral low and 2WD 4WD shift levers.
More shift on the fly friendly between trails and true 2 low option.
Add dual cases and 4.7 gears and you have tons of gearing for any situation.

i think the 2nd half of the question still isnt answered. I just ordered 1 as well after I read on marlin's website that it should work, but I dont see answered anywhere whether their twin stick installs in the stock, forward shift location or if you have to cut a hole and convert the case to a top shift. Anyone else have this setup?? anyone have a picture??
