My 1990 Xcab Lexus V8 swap
This is my 1990 Xtra Cab S.A.S., 1UZ-FE, Dual Tcase build
I've built so many different toyotas with different engine, transmission/tcase, and axle combinations, I thought I'd build something different.
I didn't put this in the solid axle swap forum because there is nothing special about it and there is plenty of axle swap builds.
So I thought I'd put my build in the engine swap forum.

Here's the truck I picked up for $400

The axle swap, going to get a HP w/4.88 locker

Axle swap done

The V8, came from a 93 LS400

The output shaft and tailhousing from a 96 4Runner to convert the Lexus trans.

Just got the dual Tcase adapter while it was on sale

Just finished the plug and play harness.
Now I'm waiting for my SC400 oil pan, oil filter adapter and exhaust manifold.
Once I get these parts I can drop the engine in!

nice .. $400 for the pick up, what a deal .
hey man doesnt that extension housing clock (or whatever you call it ) to the driver side ?
and nice job on the connector pin outs.. i just noticed the 93 has the fuel pump ecu unlike the 90-92 ls 400 just uses a relay and no di.. the 93 ls 400 is like the sc 400's..

As far as the Fuel ECU, I didn't know what to do so I just left how the fuel pump is wired up with the truck EFI main relay.

Yes its for a drivers drop case, thats why I have to buy this adapter from Marlin at the link below.

im not really sure either as to how NOT to use the sc fuel pump ecu so im just gonna use it , .. the 92 ls ecu is so much easier just one wire the fc from the ls ecu to the fc on the 3.0 COR,done .. simple.

I would of kept the pump ECU, but I scraped the car before I realized there was one. I guess if it don't work, I'll have to go to the junk yard and get one.

I'm running the All-Pro 6" F&R and 35" tires. My truck was originally an automatic, so that C2 plug on your truck might be smaller, I know some of them were.

I finally got the SC400 parts, Oil pan, left exhaust manifold, and Oil filter adapter. I had to drive 350 miles to a Upull and Pay down in Albuquerque, NM. I got all this for $80 plus gas.

This is what I'm going to try for the shifter, it's out of a 95 2wd 4Runner.

I'm using the truck cluster, so isn't the oil level useless? I did find an oil pan on ebay the the guy was selling all the pieces seperate, total price shipped @ $200. I then found one at a junkyard in Denver at 100 miles away, but they wanted $100 for the pan and $80 for the manifold + $$ for the oill filter adapter. So I figured driving 700 miles round trip was cheaper, $80 for everything and $80 for gas, total price spent $160. Yes I did get the pick up tube.
