Info on my 3.4l supercharger

Alright so I have had my 4Runner for about 3 or 4 months and want to know some more info about the supercharger and any other maintenance I should do with my engine.
And I have done quite a bit of searching on the subject and haven't found all I want to know so I was hoping you guys could help me out.

sooooo what kind of upgrades can I do to my engine to optimize the sc, I have heard that you shouldn't put in an upgraded air intake with the sc for some reason but wanted to double check with some of you guys. and also what kind of maintenance, if any, I should do(besides change the oil alredy did that).
and if there is anything I am oblivious to let me know
Thanks for any help!!!!

Your efforts here should focus on addition fuel delivery, not air. Worrying about the air intake with a SCer is like worrying about spider webs in a fire hydrant before you open the valve. I get 10.5 psi of boost with a stock air box and OEM filter.

Here is a candy store of goodies for the SCer, I'd start with the SCer fuel upgrade kits. If you have any money left after that look into smaller pulleys and water/meth injection: http://www.urdusa.com/

More info including maintenance http://www.gadgetonline.com/Super.htm (note some links appear to be broken but if you capitalize the subject in the address they will work, for example capital "F" in this one gets you there) http://www.gadgetonline.com/Fuel.htm

Capital P and F in this one works: http://www.gadgetonline.com/PingFix.htm

Capital F here: http://www.gadgetonline.com/Fuel.htm...Second%20ESC1:

Gadget's research on this is especially relevant for you since you have a 96 model truck and that's what Gadget started with. They have less fuel capacity than the later models.

Might try narrowing your search terms down a bit...I found these pretty easily and they have some great info in them.

Apparently 96-97 trucks do NOT run well with an S/C, you have to add a piggyback ECU or upgrade to 98+ ecu.
What does yours have?

95-96 tacomas and t-100 i believe were not good canidates for the sc due to them not being able to controll timing very well.

Thanks for the info mtgoat and fink! I will look into those. I guess this would have been good info before but my engine was swapped in from a 01 Tacoma so I have to newer 3.4l.

Give gadget at www.urdusa.com/ He'll make sure you're safe with the sc.

You could add a 7th injector
run bigger injectors and a controller
methanol injection...

It all depends on what you want to accomplish.. run it safely? or make the the biggest bang.
