diff drop recommended with level kit????

diff drop recommended with level kit????
ive searched the last 2 days for the anwser but i keep finding mixed anwsers.i sold my 91 pickup and bought a 01 tacoma and i want to put a 1" strut spacer to level it but not sure if i would need a diff drop or not cause of the cv shaft angles.

reason i asked is because i read that anything over 1.5" lift diff drop highly recomended and 1" spacer supposed to lift appr. 2" so im assuming they meant anything over a 1.5" spacer then.i wasnt sure cause i added a 1" bj spacer to my 91 and the cv axles were at a steep angle so i wasnt sure if it would have the same affect.thanks for the response
