Locker wont Slip!!!

still seaching, looking for a quick answer if someones has seen this before. I just finshed putting my (Sparton)locker in and it doesn't disengage (slip). I tryed to spin in like the manual says to do so before I installed it but I figured it needed alot of force to slip. any ideas? Thanks for your time

Did you install it correctly? Check all the pins and springs? Check the tolerances? I know that my aussie had to be within a certain specification. What BBP showed me to do was spin the tire and then yank it the other direction to get it to disengage. Do both spin correctly now? What is this in? rear/front?

Front 7.5 IFS w Long travel. The carrier was a tight fit, used the old shims didn't change anything but the carrier. When I pulled the pins provide for install and rotated it so the pins w spring fell into the holes on the other side. only one way to install I belive. I tryed to slip it before I closed it up didn't work. but theres room for the inner pads to retract and allow the others to slip. that is how it work correct? if theres power to the carrier the pin holds the inner pad apart not letting it slip.

X2 on checking the clearances.
from what I understand the Spartan is set up just like an aussie

Checked the clearance between the shaft, I got 0.007", spec says 0.006-.016:

Need to check the gap between the couplers after it is all together, I had 0.147", for the aussie warranty you need 0.145"-0.178" on the center gap:

also from reading Zuk's Site: gearinstalls.com
Rear install the thrust washers, evidently some people forget them and the locker won't work right:

not saying this is your problem but just some suggestions...

Keep in mind the specs I showed are for the Aussie.

Your spartan locker should have some specs included in the instructions. but it looks like the specs are similar here:
http://www.ringpinion.com/SpartanLocker.aspx
however those instruction look fairly generic...
