Transmission Gauge Installation
I got a trans temp gauge from a buddy of mine, and it's got 4 wires coming from the back, but the wire colors are Yellow, Green, White, and Grey, and im not sure which wires go to what? Any help?

it came off of a Dodge, but it shouldn't matter, i just need to know which is the power, which is the ground, and which goes to the actually tranny. and i tried google, and nothing came up

Sounds like that bolt (on the original trans) must have had a thermocouple attached to it (i.e. the wire). So unless you have a similar thermocouple installed on the Toyota trans. you won't get much of a reading with the gauge.

Actually, there is a bolt that came with the gauge, and it just hooks up to the wire, and the bolt goes into the tranny, so i just take one bolt out and replace it with the sensor, i remember my buddy telling me its universal, i just dont know what color wires go to what

I tried the website but it doesnt really help, and my buddy isn't quite to sure either, everytime i have messed around with wires, white was always hot, and green was ground. but thats just me, idk if it can be different or not

Well, either look up the part number for the gauge you have to get the right installation guide or find a similar looking gauge and look up that wiring guide. I would imagine all the Isspro gauges use similar wiring colors. Or if all else fails, contact the Isspro tech support folks.
