Question Testing a fuel injector

I've searched for this and found some information, but I must be doing something wrong.

I am have been troubleshooting a "cylinder 1 misfire" code.

I've already changed the plugs/wires and swapped the ignition coils with 1 and 3. After the ignition coil swap the code still points to cylinder 1.

I have a multimeter than that I set to 200 ohms and placed both leads on the fuel injector contacts, but I don't get any reading. Doesn't matter if the ignition is on or not.

1996 4runner Limited
3.4 V6

Am I missing something?

Thanks!

Start the truck and take an extension and touch it against the fuel injector on that cylinder. It will act as a stethoscope and you should be able to feel the injector clicking if its working properly.

Sounds like a dead injector to me, but do what Trailmix suggested to confirm. Is the engine constantly missing or is it intermittent?
