smog legal aftermarket carb?

smog legal aftermarket carb?

is there anything available? i dont like the stock one but i gotta keep it legal to pass emissions tests

I don`t think you will be able to find a smog legal after market carb, and if you did it probably still wouldn`t be legal because the vacuum lines going to it would be different and it probably wouldn`t pass the visual inspection.

Have you considered rebuilding the OEM carb? Maybe there's some performance parts for accelerator pump, jets and other goodies.

well they dont really inspect it that well. they just make sure that its just running clean not putting out excessive hydrocarbons and what not.

the place i take it to wouldnt even know the difference honestly. as long as it passes the sniff test its all good

If that`s all they do, then the most common carb swap is a webber carb, from what ive read here most people see a nice increase in power and a gain in gas mileage.

if you do a weber conversion be ready to delete 90% of your emissions equipment. EGR gets deleted, as well as the PAIR system. PCV can stay as well as the crank case vent and the fuel tank charcoal canister.
