I have an 84 4runner 22r that doesnt like to idle for the first twenty minutes of driving. it starts up fine, choaks fine, but after that the idle is all over the place... it starts at 1000 rpm then drops down to 800 then bogs down to 600, and back up to 800 and repeats. then 20 minutes later the idle is solid but i have exhaust leaks.

i have headers to a 2 inch pipe then after the muffler is stock from an 85 runner..i think the problem is not enough back pressure? but the pipe isnt much bigger then stock so i dunno

someone help me out? i am out of ideas

Were is the exhaust leak ?.

 

I have no idea...thats the troubling part...so i wonder if the carb is letting to much fuel through...

But I noticed that every bolt holding my air intake down is gone.... so the air intake isnt sitting on the carb tight... i hope this is my problem.
