Km2 weird edge wear

I just bought a set of 285-75r16 km2's for my 4runner. I have been wheeling a bunch and my bfg at's were toast. I had the Km2's installed last tuesday, so exactly one week ago. I have driven about 200 miles on them, and have wheeled them hard two days already. I ran dishpan springs last week, and John Bull yesterday. they are in for a hard life.

the front edge of the lugs seem to be rounding off, and i dont know if this is normal for mud-terrains or km2's I tried to take a picture at night, and it actually shows my paranoid-ness or issue well

check it out and let me know if this seems about right, they are getting wheeled tomorrow too.

I really just care because they are expensive

Tire spin on rough rocks. One trip on my 31" allterrains and both drivers side tires are like that.

i think that looks pretty normal seeing how they're so fresh and you've already wheeled the crap outta them. most people would probably street them for a little while first which would soften the edges and keep down the slightly extra wear that a fresh tire would get when those crisp edges get spun on sharp rocks. if you look at someone's km2s that have been well used, you'll see that the lugs round off pretty good. also, the tire compound is supposedly pretty soft. damn i want some km2s

Running them on the street for awhile just wouldn't work for me. These tires are really good. Like glue on the rocks.

you have nothing to worry about though. the edges will round over. you're pretty much just speeding that up by chunking it off on rocks.

I concur, its just rock rash and the wheels telling you they are doing their job in the rocks.
