Unhappy stalling 82 toyota truck

spent lots of money on carburetor each time including this last time with a new carburetor runs great for a week then starts to die after starting it. most of the time we can pump the gas 2-3 times then start it and let it warm up and does fine, but now that is not working. it will start then if you take your foot off the gas it stalls. could anything with the emissions be clogged up? any suggestions would be great. the new carb was bought online w/ already factory set. hooked it up worked great from the first try. as i said its been a little over a week and now it dies when we try to start it. thanks in advance for help.

also i have replaced the fuel filter and pump it has a new choke also

Have you tried adjusting the idle screw a little to see if that helps ?. When was the last time the fuel filter was replaced ?, and what about the fuel pump, are you sure its good ?.

where i would start after a fuel filter, crap in tank plugging the fuel intake, low fuel pressure, choke not working properly.
is it a weber? or a rebuilt yota carb?

Please!!!!!!!!!

i'm 16 years old and i have a 1982 toyota 22r pickup (long bed) welp when we first got it it didn't run so great so my dad and i thought it was the carburetor so we got it rebuilt twice, first time ran perfect for 2 days then it wouldn't start what so ever. Second time ran good but constantly stalled. so we bought a brand new one, and it keeps on stalling so we adjusted it for high idol and it still keeps stalling so i have to keep my foot on the gas at all times, but i've bought O'Riely's carbureator cleaner and it ran better and now if i put it in there it don't make no difference

I'm having the same basic problem on my 81 yota pickup 4x4. I have a 22r and once the engine gets warm it will die on me. I just figured it was the carb so I replaced it with a new stock carb. Worked for about a week now doing the same thing. I'm not sure if its an emmissions issue or a vacum issue or not. Any help would be awesome

You can pull the EGR valve and see if it's stuck open.

Do you get the idea that it's flooding, not getting gas, or none of the above?

When I had to keep my foot on the gas to keep it from stalling, it was the fuel cut solenoid, but I wouldn't think you'd have the same problem on two different carbs.
