Question 22re still not running

my 85 4runner 22re is still not running I've done the tps and afm tests on 4crawler. I was wondering if anyone knows if the AFM is supposed to make a loud ticking noise(like the air flow gate is opening and closing really fast) when the motor is cranking and almost firing up?

EDIT: new question
When I start my 4runner it will fire right up but die in a second, the more I try to start it the less and less it wants to fire up inless it sits for awhile.

Does any one know what this could be? My AMF, fuel pump and TPS work. Could it be the cold start injector?

take off the AFM and shake it. See if it sounds like there is something rattling around. Happened to my friend. the little bolt that holds the little arm that sweeps underneath the cover fell out.

OK so now I have a new question.
There is a bunch of pressure building up on the out going side of the fuel filter when I took it off fuel sprayed everywhere and after the fuel pump has ran you can hear the pressure hissing out of the outgoing side of the filter any thought?

its supposed to build and hold pressure. Its fuel injection. sounds more like an AFM problem. If its messed up at all it will either run poorly or not at all.

I know for sure my AFM is good and understand there needs to be pressure but there seems like the pressure is building up and gas is not getting into the cylinders.

Is there presure between the filter and the fuel rail ?, how old is the fuel filter ?, have you tried replacing the fuel filter to see if that helps ?.
