1982 4WD 5 speed trans & transfer case issue

I have found that my transfer case is somehow pulling oil from the transmission. When I checked the levels, the transfer case has way too much oil and the transmission way too little. After I bring both back to their proper levels, when I check them again after a month or ?, I find the same problem. Any suggestions?

1982 Truck 4WD with a 1994 22RE powerplant.

There is a gasket between the two. There's also a shaft between the two that has a gasket around it. If you don't have any more major problems, replacing those may help.

Thanks...I rebuilt the transmission last year and used the gaskets I was sold. I assume I was sold the proper gasket set.

Hm, interesting. I don't know much about the inner workings, so I won't be much help. The Marlin Crawler forum is really good for questions like this.
