....Two ultra yuppies are whispering as they look at the deer and other "wild" game from their Outback as the voice over mentions how quiet and capable the Outback is for getting off road. As the Yuppies are smiling at each other and whispering about how serene the setting is, some guy ( and they cast his part as a big dumpy looking buffoon ) drives up in a HUGE, LOUD, suv. He parks next to them and whispers to them "What are you looking at?" But by then the deer have fled because of his loud obnoxious suv and the Yuppies are pissed at the guy for ruining their ideal setting. I'll NEVER own a Subaru.

Just a couple months ago, I watched a Legacy Outback and a Zuki Samuri drive by our campsite. The Outback had to drag some a$$ on the way up. OUCH!
I wanted to tell them, "Just because Paul Hogan does it in the commercial, doesn't mean your car can do it."

i seen that commercial, anybody know which SUV that other guy was driving, just out of curiousity?

 

They were very careful to make it impossible to tell what the obnoxious loud SUV was. My '85 Subaru is a lot louder than my truck. I think it would make a hibernating bear run away. E-mail me if you want to donate to the Subaru motor rebuild fund.

 

In one shot the grill looks like a Trooper but when the wheel skids to a stop it looks like a 4runner wheel.
As Matt said they do that on purpose... most likely to avoid lawsuits.

Look carefully but I believe it is actually a Toyota Sequoia. They give you enough of a look to tell. I hate that add.

I must be the only one that has not seen the comercial. I spend 60 hours a week running a store with 250 televisions on display and I havn't seen the stupid comercial?

 

yeah that commerical is pretty dumb. i thought it was a ford excursoin or expedition, but never really looked that hard.

speaking of commericals.. anyone seen taht one with the subaru that is half car half pickup? what the !@#$? its basically a 4-door brat. what will they come up with next???:pat:

 

Rowan- I was just going to reply about that new Subaru thing It looks like a slightly-more-aggresive-4-door-El Camino or something And why did they have to paint it yellow? I mean sometimes yellow is okay on a car/truck, but when advertising a new car/truck (whatever the heck that thing is) they should of atleast made it a different color, like Silver (my first choice ) or black.
