Bushwhacker fender flares finally installed!

I have had these flares for 3 years. I just couldn't decide if I liked them enough to install them... so after opinions from assorted family and friends and an experience where my tires flung a rock about 50 feet up in the air and on to the hood of an oncoming pickup (sorry about that... if your out there)
I decided to do this...

What do you think?

Talk about himming and hawing, LOL!! 3 years?!?!

I think they look good, especially since its all black. And I bet they cover those 12.5 wide tires nicely. Nice work!

Dork.

Or are you talking about the "after" on your rig, seeing as you have a set of flares sitting patiently in your garage? . Just saying.

BTW, at least you don't keep your spare parts in your bedroom.

For some reason the first pic didn't show...idk...anywho I'm not a fan of the Pocket Style...IMO, I like the OEM fenders.

Yes, I do have a set of 1.5" fender flares in my garage...NOT in my room...

You people crack me up...I think you can see why it took me so long to decide... anyway here are some pics after a trip to the carwash showing a better view of the coverage of the tires.

I paid 4 hours body shop labor to have them installed on my 3rd gen Runner.

They are significantly more complicated than on a 2nd gen in your defense...

good looking flares texcat -but I'm also not a fan of that style with the fake screw heads-but still an improvement. The second set of shots a big help.

Mine lingered in the garage about 3 months....I entertained the idea of installing them on my own but 3rd gens have door pieces and hidden mounts underneath that were beyond my skill level.

Thanks Mountainryder and yes I should have installed them sooner... I like them even better today.
But in defense of my procrastination I did rebuild a 22re later pulling it to install a megasquirted 4.3 vortec/700r4 and 3" spring lift, 2" body lift, crossover steering, landcruiser rotors, late model calipers and booster, brute force posi's front and rear, installed and removed 5.29's twice then reinstalled the 4.30's to run with the 4.3 V6 I had rebuilt, bumpers, sliders, winch, Rola roof rack.... I was tired!

What persuaded me to install them was primarilly the utility of the flares. After throwing rocks everywhere for several years I decided to become a good citizen... but now I like the way they look too.
