When stepping on brake engine almost stalls.

When i step on the brake the engine almost stall but wont. I disconnected the vacuum and the censor on the master cylinder and it still will do the same thing. Not sure what the problem is, Please Help.

Uh, auto or manual tranny? If manual are you steppin' on the clutch first, because hitting the brakes without hitting the clutch will def. cause a stall.

If auto, I couldn't even begin to hazard a guess as to what's wrong.

Its a manual but thats not the case it is something to do with the power booster or power brakes. I can have it in neutral and hold the brake and it will almost stall.

But i disconnected the vacuum hose and pluged it. It still almost stalled when i step on the brake.

check to make sure your brake light wire or brake switch wire isn't grounding out somewhere.

Turn your idle down....

EDIT: Should be set to 750 rpm, if you don't have a tach, do it by ear.
