Gear oil coming out arb compressor exaust?
i have gear oil coming out of the exaust on my arb air compressor but everything works fine. i would think if the air seal was blown that the air line is connected to it wou8ld leak and the compressor would keep kicking on to hold the locker in?

It won't hurt the locker. Not sure about the compressor but I would just fix it. Unlikely ARB would consider it warranty since it most likely comes down to install and seals don't last forever anyway. Unless it hasn't been in very long then whoever installed it for you may warranty it.
You shouldn't be asking me though ask whoever put it in. Good Luck.

I have the same problem, but have had it for a while now, going on a year. Called ARB because i was seriously concerned. My compressor and locker work great still. The problem is that the 3rd member gets really warm inside and builds pressure and pushes oil up the air line. As hard to believe as that is, go disconnect the air line at the third member, turn the compressor on and watch the oil come out. Do you have lower gear? they create more heat which equates to more pressure. Im sure there is a fix, but i haven't really looked for one. Call ARB and ask for a possible fix. And i doubt you have a leak anywhere if the compressor stays on without running constantly or intermittently. The Compressors are oil-less by the way, if you didn't know.

Mine does the same thing as well. I haven't worried about it, but I'd also like to know if this is going to cause any major issues down the road. Hopefully someone can shed some light....

Mine has done it in the past, I noticed I had a kink in my extended diff breather hose and fixed that. It hasn't done it again since. So try the easy stuff first, make sure your diff breather vent is clear so pressure doesn't build up in there.

That was one thing i did to help with the pressure, extend the diff breather. Didnt seem to help much. I put some Lucas in there to thicken it up a bit on theory that it would help. Ill call ARB to see if they have any ideas if we dont come up with something.

X2. My breathers are extended as well. Let us know what ARB tells you.
