Aron was up next. This wasn't too difficult but the log on the passenger side was really slippery and wanted to track you into the washout if you didn't get the line right:

Steve demonstated a few new dance moves he learned while everyone walked up to check out the next narrow section. Thanks Steve:


again, doesn't look too bad but it was a big drop on the passenger side and we weren't too sure how stable the bank was. Lucky me I got to test it first:


turned out to be fine. It was all clay mixed with rocks which is probably why it hasn't washed away completley by now:

There was a section of loose washed out ruts before the next set of pics that Matt's Ranger just couldn't get enough traction on to go up and over, not for lack of trying though. We ended up pulling some winch line but I was busy and didn't get any photos.

The next section after that has some pretty sizable rock steps to go up. We were a bit worried about getting Matt's Ranger through it, however with some careful spotting, a bit of rock stacking and some gas pedal it wasn't too bad. His rockers did get "kissed" slightly though.

So it was easy cruising to the lake after that. Unfortunately I was to busy flapping my lips and stuffing my face with the Hot dogs Matt was cooking up, that I forgot to take any photos. I think someone took some though.

Lake had a pretty solid layer of ice on it and it wasn't very warm up there. No one was willing to go out and test it though.

Here is MAtt heading down the same obstacle you just saw him going up. It was definitely easier with gravity working with us:

Well we got out ok. No Major damage except some massaging of Matts rockers. Wasn't to tough a trail but challenging enough to be interesting.

That looks like a great trail with some good challenges and awesome scenery..reminds me of a trail in southern Colorado I have been on. Thanks for sharing.

That looks awesome! I love harrison. there's so many different trails, easy and hard to do up there!

 

How close from Hemlock is that trail? Is it an old logging route? I can't wait to move back to BC from Yellowknife for those old roads.

Yea makes me want to get out soon with work and all I havent had a chance yet but it has been so long since I have had a rig I don't even know what trails are open yet here in CO anymore. But the pics are great looks nice and moderate as far as trails go my kinda stuff, good times
