The absolute best FLOOD lights that I have ever come across for offroading (slow trails) have been the Hella Rubber Housing Work Lamps. They come in a 4" and 6" size. I have the 4" ones wired up as reverse lights and the 6" ones on my front bumper for flood lighting. I also upgraded the 55watt bulbs to 100watt bulbs and they are BRIGHT. They aren't pretty, but they work and they were only $16 each. Again, these are true flood lights and light up everything in front of the vehicle, but not long distance. If you're looking for longer distance and more spread look for a driving beam light not a pencil beam. If you want a flood light, these work great.

Here's the link to the ones I have: http://www.rallylights.com/detail.aspx?ID=473
