Just barely on my passenger side tire rubs the upper a-arm. Im running 33x12.5 bfg km2s on stock 15x7 rims. I dont really know what backspacing ill need when i get new rims, I'm sure this has been covered before, but I need to get this problem solved quickly so any help would be appreciated.

 

find a local place that has 6x5.5 1/4'' wheel spacers might be the ticket there cheap too

 

You can buy them at Advance Auto for $20 a pair. Mr. Gasket makes them. You will have to order them though and they should get them in the next day or so. Part number: 2376

dang 20 bucks .. i thought its better to have a 12.5 wide tire on a 8'' wheel ?

 

my rule of thumb i stick by is if my tread is 12.5 or wider i stay with a 10" wide rim.... less than 12.5 i stay with 8" wide rim

 

I'm not going to bother with wheel spacers seeing as wheels are fairly inexpensive. So should i go with a 10" i don't plan to ever go wider that 12.5".

 

Down side of 10 rims is that the bead may not hold as well if you air down, of course there bead locks. But wider rims and wider tire may rub more with out lift but the do may lifts to compensate. Only cost time and money.

Kind of but you can SAFELY run a 12.5 tire on a 7" rim. I have done it many times and so has many other people. Also I also used a 7" rim with a 275 tire on my Mustang without ANY issues at all. Just to give you another example. What I like about the stock rims is the factory offset is just about perfect and you save money by not buying any wheels. I would not go with a 10" rim. Then you will have fitment issues more than you would if you went with a stock 7" or aftermarket 8" rim.

stock rims are usually around 4.75", so you probably want to get some 15x8 rims w/4" or 3.75" backspacing. i wouldn't go with 10" rims unless you like scratches.

 

lol, scratches dont really bother me, but im still going with 8". Guess I should around town tomorrow and see whats available. thanks for the input everyone.
