BJ spacer confusion

BJ spacer confusion
I am looking to lift my stock 2nd gen in the near future and am only looking to go up about 1.5in. I want to use BJ spacers but have heard that you need to use a different back space in the rims so the upper control arm wont rub on the tire, is this true? And if it makes a difference I only plan on running 33x10.5 tires
Thanks
Thanks

You do know that you can fit the 33 x 10.50's on your vehicle as
it sits stock height with no lift at all don't you ?
If you do the bj spacers you'll have to lift the rear, get longer shocks and should address the rear axle shift when you lift it.
If you want just a little lift then get a 1" ~ 2" bl.
The ones that poo poo the bl's simply have no idea of the advantages of a bl over a mild suspension lift.

It is typically the 31x10.50 tires that have a clearance issue on stock wheels:

Comes down to where the bulge of the sidewall is with respect to the end of the UCA.
And as noted if you run into a clearance issue, you can trim back the outer lip of the UCA or add a 1/4" wheel spacer.
