I have looked and looked and cannot find what the maximum tire size would be for my truck, and I need help, I currently have 31x10.5x 15 is this as big as i can go? truck is stock.

 

you can go as big as you want. You just need to make sure your truck can handle them.

 

If you can run a 31x10.5x15 and it doesn't rub at all, even with the steering turned full left or right and you a bump large enough to fully compress the suspension, then maybe you can go wider or taller a 0.5" or so. Basically, you can go as big as you can so long as it doesn't rub. But even then you can go bigger if you don't mind the rubbing.

So that is a subjective question.

 

In terms of what will fit on the rim ... any diameter as long as it's 12.5 or narrower.

As far as what the tallest tire you can fit on your truck with no rubbing using the stock rims - 33x10.50

 

Im going with pirelli scorpion ATR size 31X10.5R15......90 4Runner V6 5SPD 4X4.

 

34 9.5 15 super swamper tsl. will rub a little up front. i have a 94 runner, so my rear axle is 1/2" wider i belive. rears tuck inside fender perfectly. not very driveable.

32 11.5 16 snow wheels. in my opinion a very good choice for a stock ifs toyota. never heard mine rub (with stock suspension). look really nice as far as filling the wheel well without being in the way.

also in my opinion a 31 astheticly looks to small on a runner. very driveable though, i have a 31 10.5 for daily (summer) driving.

 

Realize that the larger the tire (both in diameter and width), the crappier your fuel mileage will get. Also, taller tires will KILL your passing/acceleration and ability to hold speed going up a hill.

 

I have a 31 inch tire on my Pick-Up, and I only noticed slight rubbing on full turn and full compression.

 

Yeah, I had a set of those too, and don't really consider them an option for a truck that sees pavement. I had to trim a little, and they would rub pretty good under offroad suspension travel.

I just dont want my new rubber gettin chewed up, it is mostly a city truck that sees the off road a couple of time a year. I have a set of tires for the summer to beat on, I just want someones opinion on the best suited tire and size, more traction the better!!!!

 

Skinnier tires are better for the mud/snow around here.

 

Yup yup. Got snow- go skinny. You want to cut through the snow and contact the ground, not float on ice.
