need advice on sas suspension

I am putting a strait axle under my 1988 ifs toyota and currently have 3 inch springs for the front, 3 inch blocks for rear, and 5 inch shackles for front. We are mounting shackles through the frame. I need some suggestions on shocks and other things I can do to get more flex for articulation. I know we will have to build the lift blocks up because the total lift in the front will be 5-6 inches. Any help would be nice, but the truck will be driven everyday on the street.

First step to articulation: Take those blocks and throw them at your neighbors cat. Then get some real springs.

Or dont, and break on the trail.

Welcome to Yotatech.

I'd suggest you do some searching around before starting the SAS. Easiest way is to buy a kit from Marlin, All Pro, Trail Gear, etc. However, these cost a pretty penny. Other people have assembled their own kits with used parts. This would be cheaper than buying a kit, but it would take a lot of time searching for parts, in addition to more knowledge of your truck.

What's more fun than swinging a cat around by the tail??

Stopping it with a shovel.

Lift Blocks are just about the worst thing anyone could put on their truck
