One thing that kind of bugs me is how gas can be about 10 cents cheaper more on the other side of town.

The Chevron Tigermart down the street from my apartment is $1.40 for 87 octane.

In north Austin I believe it is about $1.29 at some stations.

(I hope I did'nt frustrate anyone that lives on the west coast or other parts of the country where gas is ridiculously expensive compared to Austin and that I should be thankful for the prices that I have.)

$1.79 for regular at favorite place where the levers for auto-fill are not broken and receipt printing machines are not out of paper.

Gas is the least costly recurring expense for most. In the grand schema of rent/insurance/taxes fluctuations the difference of a few dimes per gallon is inconsequential.

I pay about 1.38 for 89 octane

 

$1.75 for 93 octane

 

$1.63 Costco 87 octane

Across the street is a Mobile and 76 which both sells their 87 octane for $1.88/1.89 respectively!!!

Now that's pretty scary

 

lol...last week i paid 1.25 for 87...yesterday i paid 1.40 for 87

 

$1.79 for 87 octane in Fairfax. A short 15 minute drive to Manassas it's $1.39 for 87 octane. Prices are for Shell, Mobil, and Exxon.

 

$1.49 for 87............ and $1.56 for 89 octane in the Pittsburgh region.

 

alot of the refinerys are on the west coast , so why do we have the most expensive gas prices?!?!??!?

I'm in mississippi and I'm getting $1.29 a gallon for 87... though just down the street at a couple other places it ranges from $1.40 to $1.80.

 

Filled up today on base for 1.33 Central South Carolina

 

$1.55 in western MD, the closer you get to Baltimore or DC the higher the prices. I wish the Federal Gov. would get involved and start to regulate the Oil Co. like they do everything else. This price differential is getting old. The closer you get to a minor / major metro area, the higher the prices get. Now I know some pay more and some pay less than I, but I am starting to get fustrated with having to push the gas tank limits just to save $.30 to .$.50 a gallon. Where I work (50 mi. from my house) in the DC metro area it is $1.80 to $2.00 a gallon. If you guy's think I am just ranting your right, but I get sick and tired of reading the buisness page and seeing the jobless rate and down-ward spiraling economy dome and gloom, and then in the same section the big oil co's. reporting record profits!!!!

$1.87 for 87 here in Southern CA.

 

$1.37 is the cheapest I've seen lately.

 

$1.59 for a midgrade 89 octane at BP/Amoco.

I thought I would help my American friends appreciate how good a price you have compared to us Canadians.
I did all the conversions based on todays dollar exchange rate. A gallon(U.S.) in U.S. dollars here is approx $2.20 for 87 Octane.
