On my way to work, on even slight turns i was feeling and hearing a lound clunking sound, and the truck would vibrate. When i'm going straight, it's fine. It scared me, but i made it work safe
Where do i start?

A cv? I'll have to check to check it out because this was loud, like something was gonna fall off

 

They can make quite the racket and vibrate like mad when they decide to go.

 

Do now do i replace the boot, or should i just replace the whole half shaft?

 

Have someone rock the steering wheel back and forth (engine running) while you or someone with a little knowledge looks at your steering linkage,bushings,ball joints,steering gear or rack for independent movenent. Something might show up shifting under the load. This is how I used to find bad parts that others couldn't.
I don't suggest driving it until you are sure it is safe. Bad CV joint is fine to drive on unless it affects your steering.
