Blower Fan Problem 1987 4Runner

I recently bought yet another 1987 4Runner ( my first was stolen a week after I bought it, and got it back ruined a few months ago!) and on this one the heater/AC fan blower only operates when the switch is in the "High" position. Does anyone have any ideas if this is a wiring problem, or if the switch itself is bad? I'd sure appreciate any ideas or suggestions. Oh. it's a CA truck, non-turbo 22-RE, 5 speed manual, the A/C doesn't work and it's not a SR-5, like my first one was!

Also would it be possible to switch the instrument cluster (speedometer/tach gauges) from the SR-5, which was an auto trans, with my non-SR-5 truck, with the manual 5 speed trans, and has the idiot's lights?

Thank you one and all, and have (safe) fun out there! Ogden4Runner

Fan blower speed coil is burnt out. About a $11 part at the dealer. Search for it online.

Gaugle cluster swaps are detailed here in depth. Search.
