4 Runner bucket seats for a 80 toy
I manage to scout a 4 runner in a junk yard...... I'm getting tired of my bench seat the shop that repair it a year ago... or I'm to heavy or they did not do a very good job it is not as firm as they gave it to me so it is a good oportunity for me to get buckets so could someone tell me if the 4's seats would feat???? or what seats could it go with it?

my '81 had a set of 1st Gen 4Runner seats in it when I first got it. The front inside mount (towards the Transmission tunnel) mounted up with the stock hole.
The outer Mount was about an 1.5 inches over-the Previous owner used a small metal bracket to allow the use of the other front mount.
The rear mount he had just drilled holes in the floor--sorry no pics but they should install just fine.
Early 90's HOnda Civic and Acura iNtegra seats are also a great route to go. Very Comfortable, and a little bit narrower than the 4Runner seats so you get a little more interior room: here is what I did when I replaced my 4rUNNERr seats:

Finally had a little time to get my Integra seats installed.
These things are great, there is a second hole about 1.25" over from the stock front outside mounting hole that lined up just about right, enlarged it just a hair and was able to use the inside front stock mount:

just had to cut off about the lower .25" or so of the stock bracket to allow it to sit flat on the floor.
I think that being able to use the stock front holes makes the install much more stable and install went very fast...
outside rear mount came up with something similar to WSUWeston's brackets:

The rear inside mount is flat, so ended up using the old stack of washers install method
. Used grade 8 fender washers on the underside so that should help spread the load. After cutting out of floor section on a donor truck, I am pretty impressed at how well built these old trucks are...
They will have to come back out though when it fix the rust, needed to get them mounted though so I could still drive the old beast around

I put in a set of buckets out of a 94 4runner in my 82.. i bolted the outer mounts up and had to drill new holes for the inners but it was pretty straight forward... even scored ones with adjustable lumbar and what not.
