When are you supposed to change your timing belt?

Hey guys when are we supposed to change the timing belt? I thought I read in the manual that its supposed to be changed at 60k but the guys at my dealer say I wont have to do it til 90k so Im just wondering when it should be done. I'm at about 63k right now and hoping its at 90k because I dont have the cash to get it done now.

I might be wrong, but from memory your year 'Runner had two versions built. One had Federal emissions and required 60K timing belt change interval, the other was the tougher CA spec that mandated an extended change interval to 90K. You can tell which you have by looking at the white decal on the underside of the hood.
