Angry Got nailed in my runner today...

Well luckily I am fine, as well as the other driver, to be honest, that is the only things that matters...

Also fortunatly, there is minor damage...physically to the rig that is, my insurance is most likely screwed. I was pulling out of bank parking lot going left in a 4 lane road (2 lanes going each way) A driver stopped to let me by because a light up the street was red, he casually waved me on, and as I turned left...

SCEEEEEEEEEERRRRCHHHHHHHHHH!!!

WHAM!!!!!

I get nailed in my front drivers side. The odd thing, it only messed up my front bumper and lower valance, parts all ready being shipped to me for a prior accident. It is drivable, and everything seems to be okay, however it looks really trashy.

Be careful out there everyone!
It seems like a lot of people are getting run into or having people around them getting hurt.

StoryR:
dude, I'm really sorry to hear about that.
This is why I never wave people on at intersections... I'd rather not be responsible for an accident and have someone try to sue me later.

It is sad that society has gotten to that point.
You basically get sued for being nice to others. :pat:

StoryR, you are technically at fault under the 'failure to yield' clause, however you might want to talk to a lawyer and describe the situation. He might be able to prove the other driver at fault if he was speeding (likely) and/or traveling at a speed unsafe for the conditions. Was it raining today?

The driving record and overall credibility of both drivers will come into play.

nope it wasn't rainey. it hasn't rained here for such a long time. Rickey, sorry to hear about it, but if all that is wrong is the front valance and you're already getting one, then no big deal. how bad was the other car? and what kind of car was it? sounds like your insurance is gonna go up though young male drivers like you and i + insurances = lots and lots and lots of $$$$ :pat:

My friend totaled his what had been recently restored 86 camaro doing the same thing. Completely custom interior, hundreds of dollars in engine mods... 3 lanes of traffic, 2 completely full, waved on, someone pulled out of the 2nd lane into the third and they floored it down the way, he was hit passenger side at 35-40mph. He was alright though. I almost did the same thing too, instead I punched it and ripped my shift knob off going into 2nd.

I am glad you're alright, hopefully his car is a domestic car, so it won't be much to fix.

Anyone else think it is stupid how you pay all this money for insurance then you have to pay more when you get in an accident? Where did all that money go? I'd rather pull out a loan and pay for damage if it ever occurs.

Haha, I totally understand, now that I read I think...damn, if only it were that, and not an accident

But I guess everything is okay, I took the front valance off today because it looked like S#@*!!!! It acually looks a little "meaner" with the front of the frame exposed and the two hooks hanging out, but still, the bumper looks so terrible...
