Talking The Big Bad Blue 3" Body Lift Drama

What a nightmare, LOL! This frikkin drama really started when I got off work this morning at 3AM. I went to bed at 4AM only to have to be up at 6AM when my buddies could help me. It only took us four hours to complete the body lift part. The problems I encountered were forgetting to unhook the battery and the post getting damaged. I now have power to everything but it clicks when I go to start it. I am guessing the way the post is connected inside is the reason it will not start. Next was while lifting the radiator I grabbed onto the neck damaging that. Not sure if it will continue to hold pressure from the cooling system but it held for ten minutes after a jumpstart. Then I am still having issues with my shift linkage but thats just cuz im so tired and reading is not my best skill right now. The rig does look badarse being I now have seven inches of total lift. So tomorrow when Les Schwab opens I need to get a battery, slap it in, adjust my transfer case linkage, then test the waters and drive it a little, then alot, then time to show off. I will get some pics up soon, I am going back to bed for a bit being I have to work at 8PM. Woo hoo ive gotten four hours of sleep so far. Later guys/gals.

I'm only joking Sounds like the install didn't go as planned, but it is going to worth it when you're 3inches higher than before, and ramping ricers here and there

Post When doing a 3" BL look out for:

Ok here are a few warnings to be careful of when lifting a rig 3 inches. Unhook the battery cables (I fried my battery due to the pos. post getting pryed on by the lift), then when lifting the radiator onto the new brackets dont grab by the filler neck or you can damage it (JB Weld works wonders), then the last tip for now cuz im tired as hell is figure out what you will do with your air box cuz the factory tube off the engine wont mount to the body cuz the tube does not flex that high. I currently have my air tube from the TB normal until it gets to the MAFS where I turned it upside down and placed my K&N on it with electrical wire as a temp fix. Ok time to catch up on some sleep. Later

Oh yes it does! If you have read my recent thread about my little radiator leak, you will see that I have become a fan of it as well!

Ok I'm awake or getting there. I will take some pics when I go out to adjust a few things here, paint a few things there, and then get back on to show you how much taller BBB got. My Rock Sliders should be done in a week I heard last night also.
