I live in Lake Tahoe Ca and found a 1990 4x4 4runner and it has 183,000 miles on it. The asking price is $2000.00 should i buy it? It did not have any fluid in the radiator and it looked like it had cracked before. Any previous problems with this year for anyone else?

 

well if it has a 3.0 v-6 it would be a good idea to stay away from it, sounds like it needs an engine. The 3.0's were notorious for head gasket issues and crappy mileage. A 4Runner with a 22RE (4 cyl) would a be a great choice.
It should have a kind of greenish tint to the water in the radiator,

overall 2K is about the price range..

I like my 1990, 22RE, 5spd 4Runner.

 

my 1990 4runner gets pretty bad mileage... other than that i really like it.

 

If you're just going to use it as is, look for 96 and up.
Although 5spd is harder to find.

 

Not a fan of 'em...
