Hello...Ive got a 5 inch lift on my 87 four runner with 35 inch tsl's and was wanting a few more inches.Was wondering if anyone had any luck or knows of a way to get more lift on these.Obviously the rear springs are no problom.Its a daily driver occasional trail rig.Not looking for straight axle swap as we have an 82 for heavy duty play etc.Any help or pictures or threads etc. would be greatly appreciated.Thanks CJ.

 

Ball Joint spacers, Body lift, or SAS.

why do you want it so high if it doesn't go offroad much?

 

Id say body lift then, Cheap quick and easy.

Who sells a 5" IFS lift? Or is that with some torsion cranking? I'd like to see your CV angles with a 5" lift and a 1.5" BJ spacer lift. Everytime I see an IFS maxed out like that it makes me want to order a SAS kit.

 

I'm pretty sure that Superlift sells theirs as a 4-5" lift. My 4" bracket maintained "stock" CV angles by lowering the front diff, therefore CV angles with a 4" bracket + BJ spacers should be pretty close to stock + BJ spacers.

So I guess I should have said, "Stockish." Not a terrible angle though.

 

Yeah, it's got a bit on an angle on it but not bad. You must not have touched your torsions? Maybe most of the ones I've seen had the torsions cranked because they always seem to have horrible CV angles. There was a thread recently where a guy posted a picture of his IFS truck on 36's and the CV looked like it was about to snap in half just sitting there. If you can looks past the horrid CV angle it looked pretty badass though haha.

 

They call it a 4-5" lift but the extra inch comes from cranking the tbars. Believe it or not, it's in the instructions.

 

Yeah, no crank on the t-bars. Stock ride height + the brackets.

 

I got a 4 inch suspension plus 3inch body...running 35s.. No need to crank Tbars. makes for a Crappy ride. Cranking to Tbars makes it drive like Crap .
