Hi, i need to change my fuel tank and want to know if i can replace with any 86-95 truck or runner, is their all the same or what is the year range fitting ???

some hint and trick should be apreciate too

does your tank have two openings, one for the fuel sensor and one for the fuel pickup, or in your case the fuel pump? or just one big opening?

 

hummmm, dont know, i was waiting to get one to replace it before pulling off the old one, it is hard to see on the truck

but i will change the whole thing i'm checking more to know if i will be able to fit the tank under the truck, after that i think i could modify some thing to make it work

if i change the tank and all around like fuel pump, fuel lines, etc... i should be able to get one with 2 oppening or just one and make it work ? is their a big difference between these 2 or just the oppening ???

I just found on the net a repair manual and its for a 93, it seem to have 2 oppening, but im not sure mine is the same...

i dont think theres gonna be a major diff considering everything els about the trucks are the same except for the body, lol and im an idiot, if you get a fuel tank out of an EFI truck should be the same

 

There are varying size tanks available, from just over 13 gallons to just over 19 gallons and the 411 I have breaks down sort of like this:Now, whether they'll interchange is another question but for the most part they should. Take measurements of the mounts and fuel fill locations.
Or maybe call a shop that deals with fuel tanks- they should have a cross reference listing.

Make sure you get the sending unit and stuff with the tank or make sure the tank is the same size. Different tanks are deeper so the length of the fuel pump unit will hit the bottom of the wrong tank. ask me how I know..........

 

I buy new fuel tank (Spectra Premium TO10B 220$ ca.) and bracket (sending unit from toyota 275$ ca.) reinstall old fuel pump and fuel gauge, but the new tank didnt have a tubing exit for EVAP system so i had to drill in the tank and cut a small piece of tubing from old sending unit and put it in. I try to weld it with plomb but didnt work, so i J-B Weld it !!!
The bracket with the pump was not at the same place, a litle more in the center of the tank than the stock one. Not sure if could fit with stock hoses, maybe required a longer one, but the end of the fuel lines was scrap and the connector too, i cut it and i put a high pressure fitting (8mm) for hydrolic system with a new line of high pressure tubing (8mm) for the same application, i cut the fitting on the sending unit and I put an other fitting like the one at the fuel lines. The exit tubing of the fuel pump on the sending unit is 8mm too.

I install the whole thing today under the rain
but all work and no leak for now
