well my truck has rear blocks ( 3'') and it rides like poop and im always on the bump stops, so i wanted to replace it with a better performing suspension. i was looking at something like these 3" leafs http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/4runsuspparts.htm

i have 31's on now but i'd like to be able to run 33's so would those 3" leafs work? or should i do like a two inch add a leaf and some shackles?

also what would i have to do up front to match? my torsion bars are all the way up and im always catching air with the front tires so i was thinking the ball joint spacers and turn the torsion bars down a bit?

 

you should be able to run 33x10.5x15 with just a 1" lift and some work on the firewall with a BFH, so you shouldn't need all that height

For rear springs I would recommend Old Man Emu Dakars, so far I'm diggin the ride and I haven't really heard any bad reviews

Downey offroad makes some nice leafs..

 

i can clear 33"s with no lift at all. if anything u might have to do very little trimming up front

The Rancho soft-ride AAL is pretty good, helps soften the ride by getting the rest of your spring pack off the stiff (thick) overload leaf on the bottom. There is also the OME 2" rear lift spring.

well i just checked out downey, and i really like their prices and products so i think im gonna do the 3" leaf springs, the torsion bars and some ball joint spacers.

 

be careful with the Downey torsions - everyone I talk to says they are too stiff (orig=22.8mm, downey=26mm) - I had SwayAWay torsions on my '88 p/u and liked them, they were 25mm dia.

 

Yeah, the 3" leafs are pretty good.
Make sure you install your load carrying leaf from your stock ones over. I should have listened to everyone else when i did mine.
