Follow up for those that bought Erickson Recovery Straps

Hey all,

Just wanted to share an excerpt from an e-mail I received tonight from Dave, the owner of Off Road Recovery. His comment at the end is priceless!

"I hope everyone is happy with the straps. since we talked I have been in contact with my rep at Erickson. One thing I didn't know is that that polyester wear guard on the loop is a special kind of polyester and is US military spec. Erickson is the only manufacturer which builds their straps to these specs.

I hope you don't have to use your new strap often, and when you do I hope it is to pull out a jeep.

Thanks,

Dave"

Sweet! I can't wait to be on a trail hard enough to use it. So far, I'm very impressed with my 4runner's ability to go through trails that my '97 Ford Ranger could have never made it through. I'm very impressed with what just a little lift and a rear locker can do. I'm going to hit some difficult rated trails Saturday to see what it's really made of!

Hmmm...military spec eh?

so I can say my 4runner is a military spec vehicle?

Now all I gotta add is some bullet proof windows, bullet proof sheet metal, and a huge machine gun up top and I'll be set!!

I got my strap yesterday and it's purdy

Tom:
Yeah, I got charged full-price
I guess the original charge was because it hadn't shipped yet.

Got my straps in. This thing is huge!!! Is it normally this big/long? And is there any correct way to wrap these up when not in use? or do you just make a big overlapping loop?
