Unhappy Rear axle seal problems on 97 4 Runner & part numbers ? Can the USA help ?

97 model Surf - same as your 4 Runner - anyway Australian dealers are quoting wrong part numbers can the USA help ? - these parts resulted in sealls blowing again only 5000km later. Examination found that the dust seals were just sitting on the collar and that the oil seals were not - result oil all over the drum brakes. Anyway part of the way across my 15000 Km trip across the arid regions of Australia I did not need this added expense - mechanic showed me the problem and said Toyota Australia quoted the following part numbers - Retainers 4242320010; bearing 9036340020; seal 9031050001 - believe three retainers are required due to the ABS brakes but anyway the mechanic showed me that the same problem would arise (same parts that were in it) , so he made up a spacer so that the oil seal would sit right. Can anyway provide the part numbers that you guys use over there seeing there are heaps over there - Australians only have a few as they were imported under a low import scheme. Hope you can help, Cheers Jeff

Here's what I just bought for my rear axle seals on the passenger side:

90310-50001 $3.53 Inner Seal (3)
90313-48001 $2.90 Outer Seal
90363-40020 $39.18 Bearing
90301-88077 $2.52 O-Ring (2)
90520-36045 $1.12 Snap-Ring
42423-20010 $10.99 Retainer Ring (you need two if you have ABS)
43517-35010 $30.29 Rotor, Skid Control (ABS rotor, only if you have ABS)

It worked for me on my 1997 4runner. PLus my shop only charged me $82 in labor to do it.
