YotaTech Summer campout 2009 Greenwater, WA. (date not set yet)

Yeah, I know, this was planned for yesteryear and never materialized.
I had some medical issues come up, and other stuff.

The date above is not accurate either, but I had to input at least a month for the RSVP thing to happen.

Greenwater is HUGE, and would make a great place to meet up for a weekend or take a Friday off too.

You do need the permits to camp out on Forest Service land, and they can be purchased down in Enumclaw at the FS station or up at Greenwater at the General Store.

If anyone would like to scout out the area in their free time that would be great.
Jim (mytruck) and I took a drive up FS road 73 yesteryear and saw a tom of people camping one weekend spread out in different areas.

I think there is better camping up that road than there is up FS 70.
This would be more of a campout than a wheeling trip.

Josh, for the calendar event like this I believe I have to make one post first then hit subscribe to get email alerts to it.
The first post I make in her for the event does not subscribe me, it just activates the RSVP system.

Figure out a date, I am even open to July.
As you know, June is often one of the wettest months we have next to November, so July might be better.

I bet Chris would be up to doing some scouting up there.

I also called the Enumclaw FS office and they told me permits can be ordered from this site.

This is the yearly pass I bought yesteryear.

They have day passes too, but if you go up there more than once, the yearly pass is better.
Plus this is just not for Greenwater, but for any National Forest (not National Parks) in Washington and Oregon.
This is the Greenwater area and beyond.

The one I have now expires I think in May.
You use to not ever have to have one long ago.
I use to camp up at Greenwater when my sons were youngsters all the time up there, and we never needed a pass back then.

This is up off of FS 70 at Greenwater back around '93.

Scuba, you would need a GPS no doubt to find us, plus we would need to have a site drilled in.

OK, for this to work for those who may be coming from afar, they will need to have a good map or GPS to be able to find where we are camped.
We can provide cell phone numbers, CB channel four, and a channel on the FRS radios to help them find us.

Also, I can share water, Henrys rootbeer, my grub, but there is one thing that I do not share, so bring your own

Good sources are:
Bumper Dumper
Crapper like mine A few vendors on the forum carry this, and you can get by cheaper by not getting the tent.
You just need toe base and some Waag bags.
The Pett is the best dalgarn crapper I have had the pleasure to crap in.
I did have a nice Sears battery flush two piece portapotty I had in my tent trailer and tent camping, but it is to big to bring in the FJ.

Cabelas has an assortment too.

The Luggable Loo does not look to bad.

Some of these cheaper ones you can set them up with the Pett Waag bags too which means disposal of your loafs is mucho easier.

Watch the video at Pett to get an idea how the Pett system like I have works.
