How common are 3rd gen standard shift runners?

They are a very rare, and often more expensive commodity. By the time 3rd gens were introduced, the 4Runner had started to slip into a soccer-mom mobile. Most were built as automatics. Toyota stopped building manuals in the 4Runner in 2000, and currently the only 4x4 that Toyota makes in a stick is the FJ Cruiser, and the Tacoma.

of the 46 on ebay 2 are manuals...one of them is a black 99 sport 5 spd with a supercharger and diff lock I think
that would be a sweet rig to get!
