Anyone near me want to give a hand? Near Victorville, CA

Hey all,

My truck is leaking so much oil, I can't park it in the driveway anymore. And I need to drive it on a 1000 mile trip next month (Moving to WA)... I am a bit hesitant on doing the oil pan due to what is involved on it (4x4) and that if I mess something up, it will seriusly screw up our move.

Anyone with experience wish to lend a hand? I don't have much $$ to pay you with, but I am moving so I have a bunch of stuff I could give you.

I have all the tools we could need to do the repair, plus a heated area to work in (double car garage). I will also provide beer & pizza.

As for payment...
I have a weight lifting bench, small fridge, my old tools (got a bunch of new ones for xmass), CRATES of computer parts. If you need something lemme know and I will see if I have it or can get it.

Will do man, I'm moving to Vancouver, or something within 20 minutes of it for work. How far is that from Granite Falls?

Never get rid of tools. Least thats what I've heard and always find a use for when they're gone.

Where on the engine is it leaking? Some leaks are real easy to fix some not so easy. Just depends on where and what it is.

I'd volunteer too but I'm too tight on funds to travel up there and am probably going to be heading towards the east coast within a week or two.

Hey, wow lots of responses since I last checked.

As far as Gas $$, I would definately cover that, as well as Pizza & beer. I'm down to do it whenever anyone else is, weekends and nights would be ideal.

I work from home (Web developer) so my schedule is pretty open and flexible.

I could also goto your place if it makes things easier, I got a metric-assload of tools, all very portable.

Not sure if were going through bakersfield on the move up, but my wife won't be down for such a repair while moving, plus well be carrying a bunch of pets.

Well if youd spot 5or10 for gas I could come up...Its not that bad of a drive, I do it all the time to go to cleghorn..

Im off school till the 20th, As far as work i have off till the 2nd..prolly even later just havent gotten the schedule yet...
So anytime in between then will be ok with me...

Again I've never done an oil pan gasket but I dont think it would be anything too bad...
