Hand brake light problem

The other day after doing a little bit of wheelin i noticed my light on the dash for my hand brake kept randomly coming on and off. It seems like everytime i go over a bump it comes on then a minute later goes off. Anybody know what this is?

Check the ground cable on your alternator and battery

sometimes my brake light is hard to get to go off when i release my parking brake. i have to keep screwing with it until it goes out, then sometimes if i hit a hard bump it comes back on

but check your brake fluid first, that is probably your cause, and if its low then check all your brakes before you top it off. if you need new pads and you fill it up now, then when you compress the pistons to put new pads on the brake fluid will over flow the reservoir.

you really should be opening the bleeder valve when compressing the pistons. May not be good to be forcing brake fluid backwards through the ABS pump.

i've never done it that way, plus there is no abs pump, its a valve body.
