Montana is a really good graffiti paint. its very pricey though. I'm not sure how it would do on metal though.

lol...thanks guys! Walmart FTW!!! haha.
Anyway, should I do a clear coat over the olive drab? I REALLY want to start painting this beast. And how do I go about sanding it...sand it to bare metal? Or just rough it up really good then paint over the old crap?
Thanks!

as for sanding i used my dual action air powered sander, i used 150 grit and sanded the clear off the original paint of each panel,i took each panel off and painted seperately.[u may have more to sand because of the botched bleeding cow paint job u have] i scuffed up every inch i could get and sanded the hard to reach areas like the door jams by hand. i then sanded [by hand] with 400 grit all the surfaces i sanded with 150, then i blew the dust off with my air chuck. after that i wiped the panel down with a slightly damp tshirt.
after that dried, i painted one light coat of olive drab, wetsanded with 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper, after which i wiped with another tshirt, waiting till dry and repeated to the 3rd coat which i did not wetsand but wiped down with a dry terrycloth removing the leftover paint dust. and there u have it. thats how i painted my truck.
i also used rustoleums trigger handle i got from lowes which clamps onto the top of the bottle and uses a nice trigger to press the can tip down. it makes painting much easier and neater.
good luck!
my gf thought i was crazy! but for 57 bucks worth of paint i think it looks greatoh and if u have any rust, sand it to bare metal, prime it and wetsand before u apply the first coat.

In all honesty, the cheap $0.94 Colorplace stuff that Walmart sells is the best stuff I have ever used. I use it on all of the axles I build, frame coating, bumpers, sliders, and cages I build. The stuff just holds up and holds a glossy shine. My bumpers get a roll-on dose of Hammered Black Rustoleum, and then while its tacky I put a gloss black coat or two of the Colorplace/Walmart brand paint.
Its all I use anymore, and I build a lot of rigs. I just love the stuff. It won't even come off with a wire wheel in an angle grinder. It just smears. Good stuff.

Use Krylon Ultra Flat OD Green Camo series, holds up best, doesn't tiger stripe.. I used the Flat Khaki and it was ok, woulda looked better with about 3 more cans, you'll need 15 cans roughly.. I painted my truck flat black with a gun, compressor, and 20$ gallon of flat black farm enamel, just do that if you can.. Sand it good, and wipe it down with some "Final Kleen" before you paint or it will peel up and look horrible, just sand your truck down with a DA where the paint flaked or it will look awful.

the krylon camo is good paint but i once painted a rig outside in the sun in 100 degree heat on a bone dry day, and i could see every single line i made with the can. the paint kinda dried in midair too.
i think that's what you meant by tiger stripe right?
but i did my last spray job on a cooler day and it dried very well.

i used the rustoleum camo paint, worked very good and only had to use 3 cans total if that for the whole truck. when the paint starts to dry or fade out, i just wipe some wd40 on and everything is like new again.
for prepping, i just wiped the whole truck with some acetone and went to town. i kept the stripes on there, and then taped them out after the green and repainted them black.

we did my buddies truck flat black with the 92cent chepo stuff from wall mart and it is holding up great so good actually that i opted to use that cheep stuff over duplicolor enamel when i painted my rims. no problems yet even in the mud snow and salt.
