Which Red Top for a 92 V6

Costco has good prices for these batteries and I need to pick one up to get me through the winter. The book in the store says height adjustment may be needed and the optima site shows the following....

25 (8025-160) RedTop®; Battery;
34 (8002-002) RedTop®; Battery;
34/78 (8004-003) RedTop®; Battery;
75/25 (8022-091) RedTop®; Battery;

How do i know which one to use? What are you guys running in a similar truck? Any clearance issues?

Thanks,

Call O'Reillys or Autozone, they come with trays for height, clearance isn't really an issue.

Do yourself a favor, skip the Optima and get either a Odyssey or the Sears equivalent.
Much, much better battery than the Optima's..

Wow, I thought that optima was the best way to go. Why do you suggest these other brands?

I wish we had autozone up here! I'll have to find somewhere else.

I'm still running the same 34/78 (8004-003) red top that was in my 1st '91 toy. It's almost 10 years old, and has never let me down yet. And it was abused in my previous rig.....stereo system, 1000watt amp, hella lights, cb w/1600watt linear......hasn't failed me at all.

And no clearance issues in either my '91's

Yellowtop is a bigger battery. And the bluetop IIRC is Optima's marine battery

i just went out to check mine, cant see the model # but it measures approximately 6x9 and it came with the spacer. its a red top and fits nicely in place of the stock (?) size.

odyssey would be my replacement when the red top is done. not knocking the optimas, mine has served me well and has had its fair share of abuse.
