Wiring reverse lights

I picked up the napa tractor lamps the other day and mounted them as reverse lights, question is do I have to pull a power cord all the way up to the battery? My truck has the trailer wiring harness on it (4 pin), is there a backup light lead on that I can splice into, or is that only for brake light and turn signals? I suppose I could test each of the pins with a voltmeter, but it's cold and dark out, and I'm lazy. Any help is appreciated.

Wire them directly to the battery and use a relay that is activated from said wire above.

Well, it's more work, but I guess doing it right the first time is a good thing...

Yes, just do it right the first time.

Use the proper crimp (or solder!) connectors and wiring loom.

If you need it, here is a general guide to wire up aux lights. Basic, hot setup. Turn them off and on at anytime.
