Cool plastic sunroof

I was wondering if there is a plastic sunroof for a 1st gen 4runner

that way it would be lightweight and be able to take it out and leave it in the back without fear of it breaking, so that you could put it back if it rains

can get some one to make one out of plexi most glass shops could do it for you. You might not want to go this route though but it is an idea

I know that there are universal sunroofs where the rear pops up. Acts more of a vent. I'm not sure if the unit is SUPPOSED to be fully removable in an easy fashion, but I'm sure you could rig it up to do so.

I would just google universal sunroof. Also, the 1st gen 4run/2nd gen pickups have single-panel roofs so (aside from a little cutting) there may or may not be a little more fabrication for structural integrity on your part.

On the factory setup, you can add the moon roof / block out panel inside or I just got some darker tint and put that on the inside of the sun roof to darken it some more.

Like Roger said, the factory sun/moonroof came with a removable sunshade. You can make one out of cardboard or a windshield shade.
