Hey there, an easy way to do this is to jack up the rear of the truck so the wheels are not touching and take the transmission out of gear (or neutral.) Spin the driveshaft until you get easy access to your bolt and then put the transmission back into gear (or park.)

Use a good 6 point 12mm socket or wrench.

You've been using the PB blaster, but you need to tap the bolts/nuts with a socket over them to break the surface tension and work the penetrant into the threads. Or, tap on the flanges. You don't need to hit hard....just tap.

Or, just put a small torch to them and heat them up.

Make sure you mark the flanges to line the driveshaft back up when you reinstall it, too.

I can usually get the ones at the pinion without rotating it ... then put the truck in neutral and you can spin it to get the ones at the transmission/tcase flange

Be honest...it's that bionic arm surgery you had, isn't it?

No, but I find that using 2 14mm combination wrenches at a slightly different angle and then squeezing them together works pretty well.

no a 14mm socket on a break bar or ratchet even works great... gives a little more leaverage than just 2 wrenches... also thrust works amazing.. better than p.b blast and the can has more in it..

I just put the rear axle up on jack stands, then tranny in neutral and can spin the shaft using a foot on one of the tires. For leverage, I use a long handle 14mm combination wrench and if needed loop another one through the end of the 14mm one to double the length.

Hey, that's exactly what I do. Wild.....

Try doing that with an unexpected kitty on the tire. Entertainment while you work...
