rear window pickup removal

Hey guys. I'm going to be switching from a solid window to a slider window for my 86 pickup. This will be my first solid window that I've ever removed. I have the fsm for instructions but I'm looking for any tips that would be helpful so I won't break anything taking it off and putting it on. I've searched and couldn't find much.

thanks

Why do people give advice when they do not know what they are talking about crews462????? Just pop it out with a screw driver and you hand. Very easy. Don't cut the gasket like crew said.

its not hard at all. i did the opposite of you (slider to solid) and used the FSM and had it done in less then and hour. only trouble i had was at the bottom corners. i had to use a flathead screwdriver to carefully pry the gasket up enough to pull the rope past the bend. after that it went real quick. also make sure you have a buddy to help hold the window up on the outside while you work the inside.
