Its the lift blocks. It allows the axle to rotate more, which stands up the perches.

Fix? Take the blocks out and put in lift springs. Longer shackles with no blocks will also cure the problem.

my 91 PU with the stock suspention does the same thing; the rear just raises instead of squatting when I get on the throttole, but I know it's because my springs AND shocks are shot; 285K miles of backwoods dirt road driving will put some hurt to them

the blocks amplify the torque of the rear axle as you're accelerating. since the front edge of the tires are moving down, that makes the front edge of the spring lift up thus lifting the rear.
the raising of the drivers side is caused by the torque of the engine acting through the driveline and engine mounts causing the frame to lift.

My truck will sort of raise to one side when I rev it up, now that I think
about it.

Could this be due to the engine mount thing
you're talking about, abecedarian?

All front engine RWD vehicles will naturally torque to one side, given the way the engine is spinning. Take a look at the best set up Drag cars where the engines mount directly to the frame....they still torque to one side (always opposite the way the engine spins)
