What works to shine chrome without leaving swirl marks?

I was using Mothers and buffed it out with my electric orbital buffer. The chrome shines but has massive swirl marks.

One idea

If the chrome is polished already, try flash-drying it with isopropynol (rubbing alcohol) and a piece of cotton. Water has too high of a specific heat to flash dry, and acetone (finger-nail polish) leaves a residue usually. See if that works.

i use LOC metal cleaner/polisher, works great and helps to make the chrome look like polished even if it gets wet
